If you would prefer to barbecue your salmon on a cedar plank using the grill or barbecue, simply put the plant on there instead. The oven option is a nice alternative for the winter though, or for people living in apartments who do not have a barbecue they can use. The flavor of the cedar permeates the salmon while the tasty sauce you spoon on before cooking adds even more flavor and also helps to keep the fish moist and juicy. Serve the finished dish with mashed potatoes or fries, and perhaps a simple tossed green salad to add some more nutrients.
