A Little More About Me
When I began to create websites and food blogs, I had a specific goal in mind, to introduce a better experience to web users than anything else online. I am a mother to 4 great young boys who are now young men and, as you can imagine, food is a massive part of our lives. As any mom will know only too well, guys love to eat and can be bottomless pits where food is concerned. Finding new recipes to make every day is as tricky as it sounds.
I suffer from MS which means I am not able to stand comfortably for very long. The guys still need their food though of course. I have never been a quitter and no way was I prepared to give in and settle for prepackaged boxed junk. I was determined to feed my guys healthy meals and that is what gave me the inspiration for my websites and blogs.
I can honestly say I find cooking for my family very satisfying and I would also like to share my passion for great food with you. I strongly wish to reflect these ideas in all my food and drink blogs and websites, focusing on affordable, wholesome ingredients, and mouthwatering results.
This aim is the same, whether we are talking about one of our dessert sites like MexicanDessertRecipes.net or one of the savory food ones like EasyLasagnaRecipes.org. We try to keep the recipes and cooking tips as simple as possible while offering yummy recipes which are sure to impress and useful tips which everyone can benefit from.
So, Why Barbeque?
Although experimenting with various cooking methods is fun, and I often use the stove, oven, crockpot and broiler, barbecuing has a timeless appeal. This unique way of preparing food is the oldest cooking method and, many would say, the best. The whole family adores barbeque and everything about it is special, from choosing your recipe to building the stack of coals and lighting them, to enjoying the fantastic, mouthwatering smoky aroma as your food becomes hot, juicy and beautifully cooked.
So what can you flame-cook? To be honest, if you can fit it on the grate, you can barbecue it! This is certainly true of many foods you would not even think about barbequing. Try Halloumi cheese, vegetable kabobs, Kung Pao shrimp or even pizza.
Anything which benefits from being flame-cooked is barbecue-able, so try some of our easy recipes or perhaps try something on the grill which you usually cook in the oven, to see how flame-cooking changes the texture and flavor.
This site was founded in February 2013. We look forward to many years of sharing dedicated recipe and barbequing information with you. We find that food, and especially BBQ food, can bring families closer together and there is really is nothing like the smell of an authentic barbeque recipe which everyone can enjoy while sitting around the barbecue enjoying the smoky aromas and yummy flame-cooked food.
The beginning point for such an experience is always a great recipe to inspire your cooking creativity and bring a fabulous flavor sensation to your table. If barbecue is not on today’s menu then you might like to browse the recipes and tips anyway, in anticipation of another occasion, or if it is then we hope the results of your barbecue today are fantastic!
Thanks for dropping by today. Bon appétit, and thanks for visiting!
